4. Who we share it with
We will never sell your data. We share it only with:
- Our website managers, Seren Web (serenweb.com), who host and maintain this website and, if you have agreed to receive them, send our emails about our apartments.
- Google, which provides website statistics (Google Analytics) and the fonts used on this website.

These providers may only use your data to provide their service to us.
5. Cookies and statistics
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use Google Analytics cookies to see, in aggregate, how visitors use the website: which pages are visited, for how long and from what kind of device. We only set them if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time with the link at the bottom of every page. If you reject them, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors | 2 years |
_ga_LSHE9FW6ND | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your visit | 2 years |
When you visit, our website managers also record technical information for security and to keep the website working: your IP address, browser type and version, time zone, operating system, the pages you visit and when, page response times and errors.
6. Where your data is stored
We store your data within the European Economic Area wherever possible. Some of our providers, such as Google, may process data outside it, in particular in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards the GDPR recognises, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a tenancy: 12 months after our last contact.
- Tenancy agreements, payment and accounting records: 8 years after the tenancy ends, in line with Hungarian accounting law.
- Email updates: until you unsubscribe.
- Website statistics: 14 months.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- be told what data we hold about you and how we use it
- get a copy of the data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data erased in certain circumstances
- restrict how we use your data
- receive your data in a portable format to pass to another organisation
- object to certain types of processing
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it
To use any of these rights, email manager@budapestpropertyrentals.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Hungarian data protection authority, the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH), at naih.hu, or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
9. Changes to this policy
